Description
Poppies, lupine and clover line the trail on Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve. The preserve is known for its wildflower displays in spring, but also for its spectacular views of the ocean, Santa Cruz mountains, and San Francisco Bay. It is managed by the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, which was formed 40 years ago to protect and preserve open space, grasslands, forests, baylands, and farmlands from development.
