Description
A typical Portugese tile covers the wall and window frame at the Pena Palace in Sintra Portugal. Tile like this can be seen throughout Portugal covering walls and buildings in Lisbon and other towns. The Pena palace was once the home of King Ferdinand and was built as a Romanticist castle. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is surrounded by Pena Park which is a large forested area. So interesting and pretty! Love the architecture of the window with all that pretty tile!! The potted plants at the bottom are a real bonus, too!! Great find and capture, Kathy!
